Library and Information Services

The library and information services at the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) are provided by the Municipal Federation. The library services include the main library located in the Campus Area in Seinäjoki, and separate libraries located in the educational units of SeAMK. Seinäjoki Academic Library, directed by Ms. Tarja Koskimies, is available for everyone in need of information.

The libraries provide literature and magazines that support studies and thesis work at the university of applied sciences. Course literature can also be borrowed at the main library and inter-library loans are available between the units.

Independent information search is encouraged at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. The staff of the SeAMK library participate in the teaching of information retrieval skills and provide user training in the libraries. National and international databases and access to the Internet are available for the students and the staff.
