Master Programmes

Master Programme in Social Work
School of Health Care and Social Work has started a master level programme in social work in January 2003.
It has been planned and realized in cooperation with Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences and Laurea University of Applied Sciences/Vantaa Unit. The aim of the programme is to develop the expertise of the students in community and client oriented practices.

The studies takes 90 credits (ECTS). The students will be chosen among the applicants who have taken the degree of Bachelor of Social Work and who have developed their expertise in practical social work after taking their undergraduate degree.

Master Programme in Development and Management of Health Care and Social Work
School of Health Care and Social Work has started a master level programme in Development and Management of Health Care and Social Work in September 2009. The studies are linked to developing elderly care and development of work communities.

The studies takes 90 credits (ECTS). The studies have a strong working life orientation, and are carried out with a multidisciplinary approach.
