R&D Services

R&D work is an essential aspect of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences mission of providing quality education. Our R&D work is mainly focused on applied research and various development projects carried out in co-operation with regional and national enterprises, organisations and the working world. We strive to include our students in our projects and assignments. Involvement and participation in R&D projects is vital to their studies and their objectives of becoming acknowledged experts in their fields.

In 2007, the monetary value of R&D work at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences was approximately €5 million. We have over 50 man-years invested in our R&D work. About 80% of our R&D funding comes from external sources. Many R&D projects involve partners from foreign countries. The objectives of our R&D work are defined in our R&D strategy.
