Projects of SeAMK Research & Development
Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) carries out a wide spectrum of projects, e.g. research projects, development projects and product development work. Projects are carried out in co-operation with companies and organisations in both the private and public sectors. For the projects, the brand SeAMK Research & Development is used.
Project work takes place in all fields of activity at SeAMK. Project work is targeted at SeAMK’s spearhead and peak competence areas. Additional information about project work in different fields is available from the staff at SeAMK Reseach & Development.
SeAMK also has a separate research unit, SC-Research (SCR), whose core areas of expertise include service innovations and protection of expertise.
The projects also involve thesis work and practical training. Information about student participation in project work is available from the persons in charge of theses, persons in charge of practical training and degree programme managers.
The scope of SeAMK Research & Development project work
In SeAMK Research & Development we are aiming to practical applications. The new information generated is also applied and transferred further to companies and organisations. The total annual value of our R&D work exceeds €4 million. For this work, we invest in about 60 man-years of labour input every year.
The project work is funded by companies and other organisations in both the private and public sectors.
Student theses are often also commissioned by companies and organisations or are part of a broader R&D project.
SeAMK is often rewarded as a top-class institute in internationalisation and regional influence. Our particular aim is to continue to meet the needs of our own area of operation as well as we possibly can.
