Finnish upper secondary education and Finnish matriculation examination

You may use your Finnish upper secondary school leaving certificate and/or the Finnish matriculation examination certificate. If you graduate in spring 2012, you can count your grade point average from your latest upper secondary school certificate (viimeisin lukion jaksotodistus). Please remember to inform the Admissions Office of your final grade point average by 18 May 2012. Grades for the matriculation examination are obtained from the Matriculation Examination Register. You do not need to send any copies of your school certificates with the application form.  Admitted students are asked to send copies of certificates when they accept their study place by 31 July 2012.

If you are applying on the basis of your upper secondary school leaving certificate and the Finnish matriculation examination certificate you are awarded points for three grades on your matriculation examination certificate: Mother Tongue, English, and the best of either general studies or Mathematics.
