Accommodation

School of Agriculture, Ilmajoki:
In the school campus area, there is accommodation for 176 students. Each apartment consists of 4 bedrooms (each with 2 beds) and a communal kitchen, bathroom and toilet. In the centre of Ilmajoki there is also a student hostel called “Palonkortteeri”.

School of Forestry, Tuomarniemi, Ähtäri:
The school can offer accommodation for almost all its students for the entire duration of their studies. The rents for accommodation vary between EUR 84 and EUR 168 /month, depending on the accommodation and the number of occupants. An additional payment is charged for keys, which will be refunded at the end of the studies. The rent includes bedlinen, the changing of which is taken care of by the occupants themselves. You will get clean bedlinen by returning the used ones to the school’s laundry.

The students take care of the cleaning and tidiness of their rooms themselves. When receiving the accommodation, the tenant obligates her/himself to cleaning the rooms once a week. Smoking indoors is forbidden at the school.

Ms Arja Ollikainen (arja.ollikainen(a)seamk.fi ), the house manager, is responsible for accommodation. Please contact her in the event of a problem.

The night watch is taken care of by a security service.

The Student Affairs Office of Ilmajoki School of Agriculture is situated in the second floor of the main building, nearby the library.

Student services are taken care of at the Office situated in the main building (Ms Kaija Aro, Ms Tuula Haapamäki and Ms Heini Pienimaa). The office is open Mon - Fri 8.00 - 15.45.
