Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences offers several programmes for incoming exchange students. Applications from Seinäjoki UAS's partner institutions abroad are considered prior to other applications.

Also other courses taught in English are available in all faculties of Seinäjoki UAS. In addition, Finnish language and culture courses are offered for international students during their studies.

    Basic and Professional Studies in Nursing


    Description:
    Basic studies including cultural and societal studies, basics of nursing science and basics of evidence-based theoretical and practical nursing. Professional studies including evidence-based nursing with different aged patients in various kinds of nursing fields. The total amount of the ECTS credits acquired in one term depends on the studies chosen by the student.
    Prerequisites: The applicants should be students enrolled at a partner university of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.

  • Empowerment and Social Work
    Description: Welcome to study with us one of the main issues of social work. What does the concept of empowerment really mean in the context of social work? How do the different ideas on producing welfare influence in the goals and methods of social work? How can we promote change in our own thinking and in the lives of the clients? By participating in this module you can get answers and formulate new questions with a group of foreign and Finnish students.
    Prerequisites: To be admitted to study the module you should have completed at least one year of studies on social work at your home university/university of applied sciences, and have a sufficient skills in English language to use it as a language of study. Application is done electronically using the the ECTS Application form of your own University/UAS.

  • From Field to Fork

    Description: The studies consist of professional courses and study projects. The studies are based on three degree programmes and they give student wide knowledge of food chain. That is studies of agriculture, food processing and food and hospitality - From Field to Fork.

    The study projects of the field of Food and Hospitality focuses on creation and management of experiential food services. The projects of the field of Agriculture can consist animal husbandry and health care, crop production and/or agrotechnology and rural enterprise management. The study project can also be on the field of Food Processing and Biotechnology.

  • Gateway to International Business
    Description: In the Gateway to International Business Mobility programme students are offered a range of core international business studies which can be complemented with courses focusing on a specific target area and courses on E-Business. In addition, you can join language and culture studies and there is an opportunity to participate in a study seminar either in Sweden or Estonia or Russia.
    Prerequisites: An applicant should possess basic knowledge of commerce and sufficient competence in the English language to follow instruction.

    Description: In the Gateway to Library and Information Services Mobility programme students are offered the following courses: English for Librarians (4 ECTS), World Literature (4 ECTS), Libraries and Multicultural Services (5 ECTS), Information Literacy (5 ECTS) and Social Media in Library's Marketing and Communication (5 ECTS). Thsese studies can be complemented with courses in the Gateway to International Business Mobility Programme.
    Prerequisites: An applicant should possess basic knowledge of library and information services and sufficient competence in the English language to follow instruction. The applicants should be students enrolled at a partner university of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.

  • Professional Studies at School of Technology

    Description: School of Technology of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences offers the professional studies in English in the fields of Automation Engineering, Construction Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering including Automotive and Work Machine Engineering. Additionally some degree programs offer joint professional studies and the students are free to combine the professional studies of the various degree programs. The studies consist of the general studies and professional studies to develop the professional skills of the students attending the courses. The length of the studies is one term starting at the beginning of September and depending on the degree program and the studies chosen the student may acquire a considerable amount of the ECTS points in one term. 
    Prerequisites:The basics of the studies of the respective degree programme and the communication skills of the English language are essential.
