Cooperation deepens with long-standing partner universities during Global Master School Intensive Week

The group had the opportunity to visit Kyrö Distillery Company.

Global Master School intensive week at SEAMK brought together 32 students from our partner universities University of Zilina and Skoda Auto University. The intensive week called Global Master School: Export and Global Markets is organised at Seinäjoki on 18–24 May 2025.

During the intensive week, student groups have the opportunity to work for the client, Kyrö Distillery Company, on export strategies and market research for the launch and development of exports to new markets. Courses such as this are a positive experience for both students and clients. The students’ local knowledge and cultural skills in international groups get to shine and the client gets concrete analysis and expertise directly from the locals through the assignment.

The client is Kyrö Distillery Company.

The week is an internationally successful cooperation

From SEAMK, the intensive week is organised by Elisa Kannasto, Head of Degree Programme, Master School. According to her, this year’s student groups has been very enthusiastic and hard-working.

“The students have fresh ideas and do very good research and think about solutions from the perspective of different target groups,” says Elisa.

Students will present their final products on Saturday, but already at this stage the client has been impressed by what the students have built and the questions they asked during Wednesday’s Q&A session.

This intensive week is a really successful international collaboration and a great opening with a new development partner. In addition to the newcomer client, the week will also allow to deepen our cooperation with our long-standing partner schools.

“Already at this point, I can say that this is the best Global Master School group so far. It’s been a great week all round,” Elisa sums up.

During the tour, the group got to explore the facilities of Kyrö Distillery Company.
