Students and teachers from SEAMK (Finland), VIKO (Lithuania), Rijeka University (Croatia), and CEERRF (France) came together for an inspiring on-campus intensive week in the beginning of November in Seinäjoki, Finland. The Erasmus+ funded course titled “BIP: Evidence Based Practice in Physiotherapy – New Trends, Challenges and Opportunities” also includes virtual meetings and online lessons both before and after the intensive week.

Led by teachers Jutta Potila, Riku Uusi-Jaakkola, Verner Marijančić, Ivana Kotri and Alice Vincent, the intensive week fostered not only professional growth in physiotherapy but also international teamwork. Activities such as a sauna evening and a forest trip helped participants build connections and team spirit.

In his final lecture, Professor Marijančić emphasized the importance of curiosity, open discussion, careful assessment, and objective reflection in physiotherapy. He encouraged students to embrace new perspectives and adapt their approaches when evidence calls for change—skills equally vital in physiotherapy and international cooperation.

SEAMK celebrates the success of such collaborative events, recognizing how they help students discover new ideas for their studies and careers, and broaden their perspectives as global citizens.
