SEAMK welcomed new international students on campus
SEAMK’s Orientation Week 2025 is officially underway, and what a fantastic start we had yesterday, 2 September 2025. The campus was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed over 150 students in person and nearly 300 online, representing more than 20 countries. The energy was electric, and the sense of global community was truly inspiring.
Highlights from day one:
- A warm welcome from our International Education Services team
- Inspiring speeches from the Mayor of Seinäjoki, Mr. Jaakko Kiiskilä, and the President of SEAMK, Dr. Jaakko Hallila
- A vibrant atmosphere filled with positivity, curiosity, and connection
Mayor Kiiskilä told us that Seinäjoki is a city that grows with its people. Seinäjoki is proud to welcome new students not only as students, but as future contributors to our vibrant community.
President Hallila shared that international perspectives enrich our learning and our lives and warmly welcomed students to their new academic home with encouraging words.
Student are now part of SEAMK’s community that values innovation, inclusion, and collaboration. And to our online participants: we hope to see you on campus soon! This is just the beginning of an exciting journey filled with learning, growth, and lifelong friendships.
