SEAMK’s current application periods for degree programmes in English
SEAMK offers many different applications for the degree programmes taught in English. Please read more in this article:
Joint Application spring 2026
Joint application to higher education means that you can apply to up to six (6) study programmes in Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences with one application form. You can apply to five English-taught bachelor degree programmes and two master degree programmes at SEAMK in the first joint application. Joint application of spring 2026 starts on 7 January and ends on 21 January 2026. Studies will commence in the autumn of 2026.
Applications are made through the Studyinfo service. You can apply to the following study options at SEAMK in the first joint application 2026. You can find the study options by writing “seamk spring 2026” in Studyinfo search-box. Follow the links below to see admission criteria (eligibility, selection methods etc.) and instructions for applying at Studyinfo.fi service.
Bachelor degree programmes
- Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business
- Bachelor of Engineering, Sustainable Food Processing
- Bachelor of Engineering, Automation Engineering
- Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing
- Bachelor of Hospitality Management
Master degree programmes
- Master of Business Administration, International Business Management
- Master of Social Services and Health Care, Development and Management
The results of student selections will be published by 27 May 2026 at the latest. Admitted applicants must accept the study place and pay the tuition fee by 9 July 2026, 15.00 (+3 UTC) at the latest. Please see more information for new students at SEAMK.fi.

SEAMK Direct Application
The SEAMK Direct Application for studies starting in August 2026 started on 1 December at 08:00 Finnish time (UTC+2). Direct application is a rolling admission and applications will be processed in the order of completed and submitted applications. Applicants apply using their completed degree’s grades that gives a general eligibility to higher education or an SAT test result and a passed interview result. Studies start in the Autumn of 2026.
You can apply to the following degree programmes in SEAMK Direct Application:
- Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business, full-time studies
- Bachelor of Engineering, Sustainable Food Processing, full-time studies (former name: Agri-food Engineering)
- Bachelor of Engineering, Automation Engineering, full-time studies
- Bachelor of Hospitality Management
The admission will be based on the applicant’s previous degree or SAT-result and a successfully completed online interview conducted by SEAMK via Microsoft Teams.

SEAMK TopUp Nursing
TopUp Nursing application starts on 12 November 2025 and ends on 8 May 2026. Studies start in the spring of 2027. SEAMK TopUp Nursing Rolling Application is for health care professionals who already hold a degree completed in Nursing. You can apply to TopUp programme if you have completed one of the following outside of EU/EEA:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Diploma of Nursing
- GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery); PCL (Proficiency Certificate Level); or Technical level Nursing studies of a minimum 3 years
The admission will be based on the applicant’s previous degree and a successfully completed online interview conducted by SEAMK via Microsoft Teams.
