Information on this page applies to students admitted to SEAMK for degree studies. Please follow updates for studies starting in 2026.
Follow the three steps for all guidance, instructions and tips: 1) Before arrival, 2) After arrival, and 3) Start of studies.

QUICK GUIDE
If you get selected as a student in SEAMK, remember to accept your offered study place via studyinfo.fi by the deadline mentioned in your acceptance letter.
If you do not accept the study place by the deadline, you will lose the place.
First year degree students need to pay the tuition fee at the same time when accepting the study place. The tuition fee must be paid in one installment.
Visit the Before arrival webpage and check the start date of your studies, as well as the deadlines for arrival and for presenting your educational certificates
You can begin the student residence permit application online at Enterfinland.fi.
Remember that you must personally visit a Finnish embassy or consulate as part of this process.
Start your residence permit process as soon as possible, carefully following the immigration authorities’ instructions and regulations, so that you can receive your permit in good time before your studies begin!
Begin your housing search as soon as your study place is confirmed. Student apartments are available through Sevas Kodit Oy and other private providers.
Get ready for your new life in Finland! Plan your trip and arrange your travel insurance early.
Make sure you’re ready for your studies with the essentials, a laptop, adapters and warm clothes for Finnish winters.
