Please note that applying through educational agents or organisations doesn’t offer any advantages in getting a study place.

Arrival deadline for new students starting at SEAMK

New students admitted for the autumn 2027 semester must arrive at the SEAMK Campus in Seinäjoki by the deadline specified by SEAMK. The deadline will be announced during autumn 2026. Admission may be cancelled if the student does not arrive by the deadline and present the required original documents.

Original documents of admitted students will be checked

New degree students who have completed their qualification or degree outside Finland must present their original documents when they start their studies. The original documents will be compared with the documents uploaded to the application form. Admission may be cancelled if the original documents are not presented by the given deadline or if the applicant has provided false information.

The results of student selections will be published by 31 May 2027 at the latest. Admitted applicants must accept the study place and pay the tuition fee by 13 July 2027, 15.00 (+3 UTC) at the latest. Please see more information for new students at SEAMK.fi.

If you consider there has been a mistake in the admission process regarding admission or adaptment of the eligibility criteria, you may make a written request for correction to the Examination Board of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences within 14 days of receiving notification of the decision. Firstly, please familiarize yourself with the eligibility criteria of the study option and if needed, contact SEAMK Admission Services (admissions(at)seamk.fi). If your matter is still unclear after reading the eligibility criteria and contacting the admission services, you may make a written request for correction.

In order to be admitted to SEAMK, an applicant must fulfill the eligibility criteria of the specific admission. It is the duty of applicant or admitted student to check the email address that they have used when applying regularly and respond and act accordingly to given instructions. It is also recommended to check junk mail folder in case any emails end up there. Attach to the request any documents regarding the correction. Please note that SEAMK is not responsible for the actions, mistakes or delays caused by third parties for example postal offices or by the applicant themselves. SEAMK will not process a request in Joint Application if the request concerns a lower study option.

Any request for correction must make clear to what decision the person is appealing to, how the decision should be corrected and the grounds for making the request. The request for correction should also have contact information of the applicant and be signed by the person making the request.

The request for correction of admission may be made by making a written request for correction to the Examination Board of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences within 14 days of receiving notification of the decision, by 15.00 (UTC+3, Finnish time).
