3. Name of the data file

Camera surveillance carried out by the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences in its premises.

4. Purpose of processing personal data/data file use

The main purpose of the camera surveillance is to prevent crime. The aim is also to ensure the safety and legal protection of students/staff members and to protect SeAMK property and the data in its possession. The data stored in the data file is used in the investigation of incidents involving crime and damage, and to identify individuals moving in the premises.

Protecting the data and property of the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.

5a. Data content of the file

The data file consists of the analogue and digital recordings relayed by cameras placed in appropriate locations by the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.

The live image sent by the camera placed in the SeAMK canteen lobby, which can be viewed on SeAMK website, is also entered in the data file. The camera does not save any images in the data file.

Information entered in the camera surveillance data file is not disclosed except where the police or other competent authority, for a purpose specifically laid down in law, requires in writing that SeAMK must hand over specific data stored in the data file.

No data stored in the file is transferred outside the EU or the EEA.

All recording devices and recordings are kept in supervised facilities. Only a limited number of persons have been granted access rights to the data file.
