Why Study in Finland?

Finland is a safe, modern, student-friendly country where education truly puts students first.

Finland is consistently ranked among the world’s top countries for education, safety, and quality of life. For Nepali students, it offers a balanced, supportive environment where you can focus on learning, growing, and building your future.

What makes Finland special?

Finnish universities are known for practical learning, innovation, and strong industry connectionsespecially in engineering, business, and health care. Our teachers are highly educated, in short: they know how to teach you and know what they are teaching about.

Studies at a university of applied sciences focus on learning by doing: whilst you will be writing essays and taking exams, you will also work on real world projects, visiting companies, developing your critical thinking, reflection and problem-solving skills. In Finland, your learning journey is personalised to your goals and interests as well as encouraging collaboration and teamwork. Study days are suitable designed, there is a clear balance between study hours, independent work and on campus, and time off: there is time to focus on studies and time to relax and create your network and enjoy your hobbies.

Finland is one of the safest countries globally, with a peaceful society and a strong culture of equality and respect. Finland has been ranked as the happiest country in the world for almost a decade.

Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland provide guidance on studies, residence permits, housing, and settling in: you’re never left alone

Our institutions provide students with guidance and support in navigating the Finnish working life, arranging recruitment fairs and workshops to prepare for work interview.

Tuition fees for our Bachelor’s programmes range from 9,500 EUR to 10,500 EUR, depending on the specific programme and institution. Each institution also provides a variety of scholarship opportunities. Full details can be found on the individual degree programme pages of each university as well as on StudyInfo.

Finland is a high‑quality but relatively high‑cost place to live. While the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) sets the official minimum at 800 EUR per month, we recommend budgeting 800 EUR – 1000 EUR per month to cover typical living expenses such as food, accommodation, and local travel. Your exact costs will depend on the city. It’s a good idea to review living costs and anticipate upcoming expenses in advance to ensure a smooth start to your studies.
