My name is Juho and I’m 24 years old. I study automation at Seamk and I moved here from Helsinki. I spend my time by studying, meeting friends and outdoors hiking (usually with camera). I try to improve myself and so I read and learn new skills on a casual basis. I’m eager to meet new people and try new things.

My name is Fang Xin, an exchange student from China. I study for Master Degree in my country and major in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, now I am the student in Business School of SeAMK because the strong interest of the Business and Finance. I feel quite honor to be selected as the School Ambassador, I will try my best to help more people to study in our school.

My name is Aibek, and I am one of the Student Ambassadors of SeAMK, and I am delightful to be a part of this community that strives towards spreading the knowledge about student life in Finland and SeAMK in particular. Briefly about myself. I am a student of Dutch university, originally came from Kazakhstan. I have decided to come to Finland for my exchange period as I was enthusiastic about pursuing my Double Degree program, alongside with increasing my intercultural competence and most importantly getting to know about Finnish people, culture and its features. As a student ambassador I am looking forward to share my experience and persuade other enthusiasts as me to feel the same spectrum of positive emotions as I did, while staying here.

Olen Katja Järviö, 31 vuotias auto- ja työkonetekniikan insinööriopiskelija neljättä vuotta. Olen kotoisin Laihialta, mutta olen asunut Seinäjoella jo vuodesta 2003. Asun kahden kissan kanssa. Tykkään harrastella autojen parissa mm. käymällä erilaisissa autotapahtumissa, rakastan kokkaamista ja leipomista, vietän paljon aikaa kavereiden kanssa, tykkään kuunnella elävää musiikkia, tykkään matkustella ja tutustua erilaisiin kulttuureihin, ja pidän yleistiedon keräämisestä erinäisin keinoin. Olin Saksassa vuoden vaihto-opiskelemassa, ja sain sieltä niin paljon kokemusta, kuin myös ystäviä ympäri maailmaa. Mutta kyllä se ulkomailla asuminen kuitenkin muistutti siitä miten Seinäjoki onkaan kiva paikka asua, ja vielä mukavampi paikka opiskella. Lähdin SeAMKin opiskelijalähettilääksi saadakseni kerrottua meidän hienosta koulusta eteenpäin, jotta saisimme paljon hienoja opiskelijoita ympäri Suomea, ja jopa ympäri maailmaa. Suomi on minun äidinkieleni, mutta lisäksi osaan englantia hyvin, ja ruotsia ja saksaa auttavasti.

My name is David Torosyan, I’m 23 years old and I study International Business in Nuremberg, Germany.  Coming from a bilingual family I grew up speaking three languages – Bulgarian, Armenian and Russian. In total I have lived in 7 countries which enabled me to speak 6 languages and currently learning a seventh.

Being passionate about many things, including sport, art, innovations and technology, and philosophy, I am still mainly focused on my education and personal development. Therefore, I am now pursuing my goals in Seinäjoki, Finland – a place that allows me to improve not only intellectually, but also physically, culturally, and even spiritually.

I consider myself as a grateful, patient human being, desiring to help others and having a can-do attitude combined with the constant willingness to go forward.

Background

I am from Kenya. I studied before all my education in Kenya before moving to Finland some years ago. I enjoy  meeting new people daily and also learning new language is part of my hobby .I personally  enjoy my experience here in Finland  and its very  interesting  to get to know and learn new finish culture as well.

What I like in seinäjoki city?

Life in seinäjoki is one of the easiet life that have  experienced ,very comfortable and conducive environment especially when considering it in learning.I enjoy staying in seinäjoki ,since we also have international students living around  too and thanks to SAMO group for arranging events which make students stay together as family.

Why did I choose seamk?

I stand to testify ,I choosed seamk  as one of my favorite campus  to pursue my future dream, since  when checking the history of  our school  we have good teachers and the environment also is perfect . Seinäjoki university of applied science ,is one of the university which aims on  how to make their students succeed!

Olen Merja Purola Kurikasta ja aloitin tradenomi opinnot päivätoteuksessä syksyllä 2017.

Perheeseeni kuuluu 18 vuotias poika sekä 15 ja 14-vuotiaat tytöt, unohtamatta Sissi-kissaamme.

Päivät täyttyy opiskelusta ja iltaisin olen ottanut monimuoto-opintoja. Päivälle voi tulla mittaa jopa aamu kahdeksasta ilta yhdeksään. Tavoitteeni on täyttynyt ja valmistun tradenomiksi alkukeväästä 2019 vain 1,5 vuoden opiskelujen jälkeen. Tahti on ollut tiukka, mutta olen nauttinut joka hetkestä!

Työurani olen tehnyt matkailualalla ja koen, että työkokemus on ollut iso voimavara, joka on antanut näkökulmia opiskeluun. Kannustan opiskeluihin työn ohessa, sillä uuden oppiminen on mahtavaa ja antaa erinomaiset eväät uuden kehittämiseen.

Hi, my name is Vy. I am coming from Vietnam. I am the first year Nursing student in SeAMK UAS.  Honestly, I was quite confused while choosing the school to study healthcare major. After digging a lot of information on the websites about the school, Seinajoki city, people, culture, as well as job opportunities. I decided to take Finland, particularly SeAMK as my first priority. Until now, I am truly and completely sure that it is right decision for me. Since SeAMK UAS has the international atmosphere, high quality educational system, numerous social activities, especially our mentors, professors, and staffs are very nice and friendly who always support my peers and me anytime when we have the problems. Moreover, during the studying time, my school often holds a lot of the subjects related to the cooperation, teamwork skills, Finnish culture and society, healthcare system in Finland; therefore, it helps me to ease the different gaps between Finland and me effectively. At the moment, I am confident to say that I can catch up with and totally be in harmony myself with the professional studying environment and peaceful lifestyle in Seinajoki completely.

My name is Binh Nguyen, an  one hundred percent Asian come from Vietnam. I am now 18 years old and obviously, when I was enough ages, my parents kicked me to one of the most amazing countries – Finland.

Originally, My biggest hobby is photography and hang around with a “dream soul” (and of course with my Camera – her name is Lola).

Furthermore, the favorite slogan of mine is “one picture can say thousand words”, and why I chose Seinajoki is the place for living and studying? These are thousand words that could explain.

Hey hey!!

My name is Ana Rodríguez Sánchez, and I am from Spain. I live in Talavera de la Reina, a city which is close to Madrid, but I study International Trade degree in León University of Applied Sciences.
This year, I´m going to study in Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences my third year studies, and also I will be a student Ambassador. My main task in this programme will be writing blogs, and my secondary activity will be creating vlogs to show more about Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.
