Transfer Application

The application form is filled out on the Studyinfo.fi website. The information on the website is updated annually as the application is published. Detailed selection criteria can be found on Studyinfo under the details of the specific programme. 

To be eligible to apply to study via the Transfer Application you must fulfill these requirements:

• You have a valid right to study at a Finnish higher education institution.
• You are studying for the same degree and degree title in the same or equivalent education and training, and the degree title does not change.
• You can apply from a degree programme taught in Finnish to a degree programme taught in English and vice versa. You must have sufficient language skills as required by the programme, so your language skills will be tested in an interview
• You must have been present at your home university for at least two semesters. However, you can apply for a transfer during the second semester of attendance, i.e. if you started your studies in the autumn, you can apply for a transfer in the following spring.
• In the case of a Bachelor application: you must have at least 22 credits of approved studies, as shown on your transcript of records, which are relevant to the degree applied for in the semester of attendance / 44 credits in the year of attendance.
• For the Master´s application: you must have at least 10 credits of approved studies that are visible on the transcript of records and are applicable to the degree applied for in the semester of attendance / 20 credits of attendance. In addition, you must have the basic education required for the post you are applying for.
• You must have completed and registered your studies by the end date for the application. The suitability of the studies is assessed by the degree programme.
• If you apply for studies leading to a degree in the field of social and health care, the UAS has the right to obtain from the other UAS the information necessary for admission as a student about any pending proceedings concerning the withdrawal of the right to study (932/2014, §§ 33-34). You must attach the necessary attachments to your application by the deadline given on the application form. Familiarise yourself with the details related to application and arrival in the admission criteria at Studyinfo. Fill out the application during the application period. Please note that the closing time for applications is 15.00 (UTC+3, Eastern European Summer Time) on the last day for applications.  You can access the application form directly from the websites of the degree programmes involved in the Transfer Application. Fill out the application form on Studyinfo(Opens in a new window). Submit the required documents by the deadline indicated on the application form.

An interview will be organised for eligible candidates who have applied for the degree programme on a later announced date. Interview invitations will be sent to tentatively eligible applicants by e-mail.

Student selections will be published on My Studyinfo service by a later announced date. You can accept one higher education place for studies starting in the same academic term. 

Accept the study place on My Studyinfo service by a later announced date. After accepting the study place, you will receive a confirmation email. Accepting a study place is binding. Read all instructions for new degree student on the page Information for new degree student(Opens in a new window).

Register as present or absent for the first academic year by a later announced date.  Follow the instructions at My Studyinfo service. The studies for students admitted to SEAMK in the spring 2027 transfer application will begin in autumn 2027. 

Non-EU/EEA citizens who confirm that they accept the study place in an English-taught Bachelor or Master degree programme are charged tuition fees.(Opens in a new window)

There is no tuition fee for EU/EEA citizens, exchange students or double degree students. Please follow the instructions provided to you carefully.

The student admission is conditional until the eligibility has been checked. Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences will withdraw the admission, if the applicant has not provided the required documents within the stipulated time or the applicant has given false information in the application process. Admission can be withdrawn also after the studies have begun.
