Student assistants improved communication, teamwork and time management skills by working at an international HEROES event
The HEROES European University Alliance semi-annual meeting event was organised at SEAMK in May 2025. To support the event’s success, some student assistants were recruited to work behind the scenes and ensure smooth experience for all attendees. Among them were Tu Doan, Xuemei Tang, and Thinh Tran Duc, who each brought their unique energy and perspectives to the role.
HIGHLIGHTS
SEAMK receives Elite Athlete Friendly University quality label
SEAMK has been awarded the Elite Athlete Friendly University quality label. The label is granted by the steering group for elite athlete friendly university of the Finnish Olympic Committee, based on an external audit. At elite athlete friendly universities, guidance and practical arrangements are designed to support the combination of elite sports and studies.
SEAMK introduces semester-based tuition fee payment model and updates the scholarship based on Finnish language proficiency
Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SEAMK) is implementing significant updates to its tuition fee practices and scholarship process. Starting from the academic year 2026–2027, SEAMK will:
- Introduce a semester-based tuition fee payment option for students liable for tuition fees.
- Update the scholarship model based on Finnish language proficiency.
