Cultures Festival brings global diversity to SEAMK
The SEAMK Cultures Festival transformed SEAMK Campus’ main building into a vibrant hub of international traditions on 27 November 2025, celebrating diversity and connection among students, their families and staff. The event, held from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, welcomed participants to explore cultural displays, taste traditional foods, and enjoy live performances from around the world.
The afternoon began with an official opening and welcome speech, followed by an open programme featuring music, dance, and interactive activities. Cultural booths of 11 countries (Nepal, India, Bangladesh, China, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, Pakistan, Vietnam, Russia and Finland) showcased artifacts, stories, and traditional clothing, while food tasting offered a flavourful journey across continents. The festival concluded with a lively group activity, dance performances, singalongs and a musical finale, leaving attendees with a sense of unity and appreciation for SEAMK’s multicultural community.
Organisers emphasised the event’s open and flexible format, encouraging visitors to drop in at their convenience.
“It’s all about celebrating what makes us unique and bringing people together,” said one of the coordinators.
The Cultures Festival highlighted SEAMK’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and global awareness—values that continue to shape the university’s dynamic international learning environment.
